At Herman's Inc. we offer custom screen printing & embroidery on a wide variety of apparel including t-shirts, sweats, sportswear, activewear, workwear, caps, and outdoor gear. We also do screen printing on office products, technology accessories, coolers, tote bags, backpacks & more! Since 1946, Herman's Inc. has been providing fantastic customer service and offering quality wholesale apparel at great prices. Our prices are determined using three primary factors: product(s) selected, quantity, and total number of colors used in creating your design. Personalized/special requests may also impact the cost of your order.


Absolutely! Our in-house designers will work with you to create the perfect logo or design for your product(s). Above all, we always make sure you are happy with the design before going into production.


Sure! If you need a blank or printed sample of a product before placing your order, please contact us at 1-800-447-1295 and we will be happy to provide you with a sample product whenever possible. Please note: A small fee may apply.


Yes, this is usually not a problem and is also quite cost effective. If you're considering ordering multiple items with the same overall design, it's best to order everything at the same time. Ordering items together can significantly reduce the price of your total order.


To begin your order, simply visit our online shop or give our knowledgable experts a call. Herman's usually requires a deposit from new customers to begin work on your project. Your deposit is non-refundable but will be applied to the balance of your order.


Our experts go to work! First, your order will be reviewed by our designers to make sure it looks fantastic and is ready to move into production. If we have any questions or feel any changes are necessary, we will give you a call or an email for clarification. Next, you will receive a digital proof for review and approval. Once you give us the "green light" we will move your order into full production and make sure you receive it by the guaranteed delivery date.


You can pay for your order by check, debit card or purchase order (PO). We also accept a variety of credit cards including Visa & MasterCard.

Ordering Information


At Herman's Inc. you can get an accurate price quote online in seconds. Simply visit our Quick Quote page and choose a product, then select color and quantities, and finally select the number of ink colors you would like printed on the front and/or back of the product. Once you are done, click the "Get a Quote" button to see the price of your order. You can even place your order directly on the website.


Generally, the minimum order requirement is 12 pcs. for embroidery services and 24 pcs. for screen printing although some exceptions may apply. For designs featuring more than five (5) colors, higher minimums may apply. For additional information about minimum orders, please contact us today.


Not at all. You can order multiple sizes all on the same order as long as all sizes will feature the same design. Ordering multiple sizes will not only help you meet the minimum order requirements but may also get you a better price. You can get multiple colors within the same order as long as the ink colors and design remain the same.

Yes! Large organizations, schools and/or government agencies, can use a purchase order (PO) to pay for goods and services. To use a P.O., contact a customer service representative at 1-800-447-1295 and you'll receive instructions on how to fax Herman's a copy of the P.O. for verification before we begin processing your order.

Of course! After you have placed your order, our in-house designers will review your artwork to ensure a quality print. Once our review is complete, we will create a proof and email you a rendering of your design to approve (or make changes to) prior to sending your pieces into final production.

Printing Options


Yes! If you would like to have your artwork or logo printed directly onto the sleeve of a shirt or down the side of a pant leg, we can definitely do it! Simply choose the design layout you like best and give us a call to begin your order.


Sure! We can print on a sweatshirt hood as easily as we can print on the body or sleeve of a t-shirt.

Yes! Several unique inks are available upon request but often come at a premium rate. Some options currently available are:

Yes. At Herman's, our in-house designers will work with you to choose the right colors to meet your needs. From selecting Pantone colors that match your artwork to creating unique combinations that contrast gorgeously with the items you are ordering, our talented designers can guide you through every step in the printing process.


Our standard t-shirt printing dimensions are 12 x 12 inches on the front and 12 x 13 inches on the back. For specific measurements of a product or accessory, see the "Details" box below that particular product or contact us.


We have access to a wide range of special options that may be perfect for your team, business or event. If you don't see exactly what you are looking for, give us a call. We are always looking for projects that push the envelope to show off our screen-printing and embroidery skills!


Printers use halftones to create shades (or lighter tones) using a single ink color. Although it's most commonly seen in black-and-white printing such as newspaper photographs, halftone printing can also be done with colored inks. Using halftones, we have the ability to render a wider variety of tones for that particular ink color.


Process printing is often called four-color printing and refers to printing a full spectrum of colors using only Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black inks (or CMYK). This process is used mainly on paper products where these four colors can layer together to create any colors imaginable. In Screen Printing, each ink color is individual and must be applied individually.


To make traditional photographs suitable for screen printing or embroidery, our designers will use computer software to essentially "redraw" your photographic image. Artwork redrawing simplifies the shaded tones and creates a flat design that will replicate more sharply. This process usually produces a more vector/graphic look while also maintaining the integrity of your photograph or image.


Unfortunately we are unable to create all-over prints at this time since all of our garments are finished on standard screen print presses. We can however print or embroider designs in different locations on a single item, which can produce something similar to an all-over print.

Yes! At Herman's Inc. we will do our best to ensure that your artwork is perfect to the last detail. Most artwork must be prepared and formatted correctly to acheive the cleanest embroidery and sharpest screen printing, so our experts will work closely with you.


At Herman's, we will send you a proof of your design before we print or embroider your pieces. That way you can be sure you're getting the perfect look for your team, business or event.


Yes! Usually, if you have recently printed a design with us in the past few years, we can easily recall the design and re-use it on another new order of the same product, or a different product.

Artwork Guidelines


Before completing your order, you have the option to upload your artwork files directly in the shopping cart along with any special instructions. After you select your ink colors, there is a box for uploading artwork files directly from your computer. You can also email your artwork to us at artwork@hermansinc.com however please include your order number for reference.


Our team prefers working with vector art files such as .EPS or .IA documents which allow for the fastest service possible, however we can also accept virtually any type of file. Please view the chart below for more information.

Complex designs and logos with more than five (5) colors may require additional setup time and therefor an additional fee may apply.


We will do our best to work with you and produce a quality design quickly however Herman's Inc. reserves the right to apply an art charge for excessive revisions.


All artwork must have the necessary clearance or appropriate reproduction licenses before we are able to print.


Herman's specializes in creating custom graphics for our customers, therefore your artwork belongs to your order. We do not allow others to print or reproduce your designs without your permission. All custom artwork created by Herman's is the property of Herman's Inc. Our highly skilled artists will handle your artwork with the greatest of care and, if necessary, return it to you safely.

Shipping Information


Currently, we ship most orders UPS however FedEx and USPS shipping are usually available upon request. We also allow customers to pickup orders directly from our facility located in Rock Island, Illinois.


Yes! We can usually always rush an order however sometimes exceptions can occur. Rush orders are typically delivered within one week. Call Herman's Inc. at 1-800-447-1295 or contact us asap about placing a rush order.


All of our orders come with a guaranteed delivery date. For most apparel, the process takes around two weeks from the time the order is placed and artwork is approved until it arrives at your door.


Yes! However all packages shipped to Alaska and Hawaii are shipped using the most economical shipping carrier available.


No. Unfortunately at this time we are unable to ship packages internationally (to addresses outside the United States).
